Foam and interiors
What foam comes with a Pelican case?
Most Pelican cases ship with Pick N Pluck foam. Padded dividers are available as a reconfigurable alternative, and some larger cases come with solid foam instead. If you need a precise fit, we also cut custom foam to your gear. See Custom Foam.
How does Pick N Pluck foam work?
It's a do-it-yourself system. The foam comes pre-scored in 1/2" or 1" cubes. Lay your equipment on top, mark around it with tape or chalk, and pluck the cubes out to form a snug pocket. Always leave at least 1" of foam between your gear and the case wall.
Which cases come with solid foam instead of Pick N Pluck?
Solid foam suits oversize items like long guns, and can be cut with an electric knife or coping saw. These cases ship with solid foam: 1700, 1720, 1750, iM3100, iM3200, iM3220, iM3300, iM3410.
What are padded dividers?
Durable nylon-and-foam dividers connected with Velcro, so you can reconfigure the compartments to suit your gear. A versatile alternative to fixed foam.
Can you make foam for a case I already own?
Yes. We cut custom foam for almost any case, including ones you already have. See Custom Foam.
Ordering and delivery
Is the colour I want in stock?
Popular colours like black are usually in stock. Less common ones, such as desert tan, may not be, and can take up to three weeks if ordered in. Get in touch and we can usually suggest a similar in-stock option or give you accurate delivery times.
How long will my order take to arrive?
We ship with reliable NZ courier companies, and delivery time depends on your distance from our Auckland warehouse.
- North Island (including Auckland): next day.
- South Island: two days.
- Rural deliveries: add one day.
We make every reasonable effort to meet these times but can't take responsibility for courier delays. Get in touch if you have any questions.

Are Pelican cases guaranteed?
Yes. Every Pelican case is guaranteed for its lifetime against breakage or defects in workmanship.
Do you build custom cases?
