Storm case protection
Storm cases are made from HPX high-impact resin, incredibly durable and built to the same waterproof, dustproof, crushproof standard as every Pelican case. A watertight O-ring seals the case, and a Vortex valve balances air pressure inside to prevent vacuum lock after changes in altitude or temperature, so the case always opens easily.
Press & Pull latches: the Storm difference
The latch is the headline. Storm's Press & Pull latches are easier to open than double-step latches and lock automatically as you close the case. Where Protector uses stainless steel, Storm uses alloy pins to resist corrosion. The result is a case that's lighter and quicker to operate than the Protector, while still tougher than almost anything else on the market. If you want effortless, near-silent latches, Storm is the range; the protection underneath is every bit Pelican-grade.
Foam & TrekPak options for Storm cases
Storm cases take the same interior options as the rest of the range. Pick N Pluck foam is pre-scored so you can shape a snug pocket yourself, padded dividers reconfigure with Velcro, and the TrekPak divider system uses rigid panels and steel pins to form a precise grid you can rebuild even in the field. For an exact fit, we cut custom foam inserts to your equipment in our Auckland workshop.
